I write fictional picture books with humour and heart that entertain children and the adults who read with them. My higher education in science inspires me to weave educational elements into my stories so that children can learn while having a whole lot of fun.
My personal essays have been published in magazines and a national Canadian newspaper, The Globe and Mail.
I live in Canada’s capital city with my family and work in the food safety field. I enjoy doing almost anything if it is outdoors, especially swimming, canoeing and battling my wild raspberry patch.
I am a member of SCBWI and the 12×12 Picture Book Challenge.
